In some years, Board of Regents Fellowships have been available to entering graduate students. No specific application is required. Entering doctoral students may
be eligible for the fellowship offered through the School of Music.
- Board of Regents Fellowship (may be available Fall 2008)
- Stipend of $14,000 per year plus tuition for a maximum of four years.
Eligibility:
- US citizen or permanent resident
- Incoming doctoral students only
- Strong GPA and GRE as well as outstanding musical or scholarly abilities
and accomplishments
- Admission to LSU and the School of Music
Deadline:
The following must be received by the School of Music no later than FEBRUARY
15.
- LSU application and fee
- All transcripts
- Fellowship application and resume
- GRE scores
- 3 letters of recommendation
- Audition tape or sample of scholarly / creative activity (even if
live audition has already been completed)
Additionally, applicants must have completed the required School
of Music audition/interview.

- Tuition Waivers (Limited number, awarded to minority students and students
from under-represented countries)
