The Doctor of Musical Arts degree is offered with specializations in choral conducting, wind conducting and performance (brass, organ, piano, percussion, strings, voice, and woodwinds). The curriculum is designed to prepare students to be artist-performers and conductors in either university settings or in the professional arena. Requirements vary in different specializations. Common to all DMA programs is the completion of 78 hours of credit beyond the bachelor's degree (48 hours beyond the master's level).
