Alison Sanders McFarland
McFarland held a Fulbright Fellowship to Rome in 1993-94, and a Rotary International Foundation Scholarship to London in 1994-95. She is published in the International Journal of Musicology, has an article forthcoming in Music and Letters, and has delivered papers at several professional meetings, including regional meetings of the American Musicological Society, Society for Music Theory, and Society for Ethnomusicology. McFarland's teaching experience includes an assistant professorship at the University of Texas, El Paso, from 1996 to 1998, and a lectureship at University of California, Santa Barbara in 1995 to 1996. Her research interests include sacred music of the 15th and 16th centuries, papal patronage and Roman music, and 19th- and 20th- century music in England.
