Evelyn K. Orman, associate professor of music education teaches courses in music education, music education technology, and music education philosophy. She serves on the editorial board of Update: Applications of Research in Music Education and is published throughout scholarly journals in music education and music therapy. Orman has presented her research nationally throughout the United States and internationally in Italy and Portugual.

Orman received the bachelor of music education degree from Murray State University, master’s degree from the University of Central Florida, and the Ed.D. from the University of Alabama. She has served as a public school band director at both middle and high school levels and on faculty at the University of West Alabama and George Mason University.
