Terry Patrick-Harris

Patrick-HarrisTerry Patrick-Harris, mezzo-soprano (Professional-in-Residence in Voice). Partick-Harris studied at Louisiana State University and continued her training at The Juilliard School of Music. Upon receiving a grant from Rotary International, she studied at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, Germany, where she remained for three years in postgraduate studies in opera and lieder. At that time she was awarded a contract with the Vienna Opera Studio. Patrick-Harris has performed with many of the finest symphony orchestras the National Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Minnesota, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic, Tulsa Philharmonic and the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. She has also appeared with the New Orleans Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, Tanglewood Festival and with Jerome Hines in his opera, I Am The Way.

Her recordings include the Grammy Award-nominated Paul Paray's Mass celebrating the Anniversary of the Death of Joan of Arc under the direction of Maestro James Paul.

Patrick-Harris was recently honored with a grant from the Louisiana State Division of the Arts in recognition of her outstanding artistic achievements.

She is the past President of the Southern Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
