Kappa Kappa Psi

Kappa Kappa Psi is an honorary service fraternity that serves the college or university band programs through service projects, fundraisers, social events, and other projects as needed. The fraternity is located at more than 150 colleges and universities.

The Beta Gamma chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi was formed at LSU on May 16, 1948. In 1988, the chapter merged with LSU’s chapter of Tau Beta Sigma, the national honorary service sorority for college bands, and created one co-ed organization. The Beta Gamma chapter primarily serves the LSU Tiger Marching Band but also serves the School of Music’s other performing ensembles. Students interested in becoming members may join in either the spring or fall semesters.

For more information, contact an active member of the Beta Gamma chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi or Assistant Director of Bands Roy King.
