Courtney Kelly

I'm 23 and I just graduated from LSU in December of 2003. I am now a keeper in the bird department at the Baton Rouge Zoo. I love animals and I have a 2 year old cat of my own, named Morpheus. I have 2 younger sisters, Mindy and Meghann. Mindy graduates from high school in June 2004 and she will be attending University of Louisiana-Monroe. Meghann is 15 and is an artist and actress. I was born in Monroe, LA on July 1, 1980. I graduated from high school in Parkersburg, West Virginia in June of 1998 and I headed to LSU.

When I was a kid, my family moved around a lot because of my dad's job. It was very tough being the new kid all of the time. When I joined band in 7th grade I gained a wonderful group of friends and a great way to express how I felt through the music. Every time I moved after that, band always provided me with an instant place to belong and lots of friends. When I came to LSU I knew that I wanted to be a part of the band program. After I went to the smoker and heard about KKPsi, I knew that it would be another instant group of friends and it would provide me with a way to give back what I had gained from being in band all those years.
