| The Southern Chapter of the American Musicological Society consists of a group of scholars--professors, students, and amateurs--dedicated to the advancement of research in the various fields of music as a branch of learning and scholarship. Its members meet once annually for a conference at a host institution in the South. |

The 2014 Annual Meeting will be held at the University of South Florida in Tampa, on 7 and 8 February 2014. Updates will be posted here, beginning in September; the call for papers will appear in the September 2013 Newsletter. |
