| The Southern Chapter of the American Musicological Society consists of a group of scholars--professors, students, and amateurs--dedicated to the advancement of research in the various fields of music as a branch of learning and scholarship. Its members meet once annually for a conference at a host institution in the South. |

The 2012 Annual Meeting will be held at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) on 10 and 11 February 2012 and will be hosted by the University's Early College, a program of the College of Continuing Studies. Information regarding hotels and travel is now available. |
